How to Join
We currently have a waiting list in the Cub section so we advise that you add your child's name to the list as soon as possible to avoid delays.
You can join our waiting list here.
Our Cub section meets on Thursday evenings
(6:00pm to 8:00pm)
How much does it cost?
There are two termly payments for members of the group.
Subs
Our weekly Subs, £2.50 a week which is paid half-termly and can be paid online. This goes towards the running of the group and ensures we can offer as many activities as possible. (The fee still applies if your child misses a week to cover costs)
Yearly Membership Fee.
There is also a one-off yearly 'Membership fee' this is a payment that goes straight to the scout association and needs to be paid in January, the average cost per year is £45. We understand this can be a lot of money to pay straight after Christmas, so instead, we charge £1 a week in term time on top of Subs, and then only the remaining balance is required in January.
(Membership fees cover insurance, leaders training, and general Scout Association activity)
Fundraising
To keep costs down, we run a series of fundraising events throughout the year which we hope parents/careers will help with. For more information on how you could help us raise vital funds please visit our fundraising page or speak to a member of the team.
Uniform
Cubs Scouts wear a smart Green jumper as part of their uniform. Cubs will normally be invested after 5 weeks and a uniform is required before a Cub can take part in the investiture. Uniforms can be purchased from the Scout hall just ask one of our leaders. Click here to Visit the Scout shop page for prices.
