Scouts are the third section in the Scouting family and the last section in our group. Scouts are aged 10 to 14 years old. Their activities include Archery, Climbing, rafting and survival skills. In addition we aim to hold at least 5 camps a year where scouts learn a variety of new skills.

How much does it cost?
The cost of our group is £2.50 a week which is paid half-termly either through Online Scout Manager of through handing it to the section leader at the start of term. This goes towards the running of the group. This also goes towards costs to ensure that we can as many different activities as possible for our Scouts. To keep costs down though, we run a series of fundraising events throughout the year which we hope parents/careers will help with. For more information on how you could help us raise vital funds please visit our fundraising page or our events page to see which events are coming up.
There is also a 1 off yearly ‘capitation/census fee’ this is a payment that goes straight to the scout association and needs to be paid in January.
Moving on
Scouts will usually move up to explorers on the term after their 14th birthday. Scout leaders and scouts will liaise with explorer leaders and attend explorers together to ensure that they settle as soon as possible. The nearest Explorer Scout Unit is the Scarlet Dragons who take in Scouts from Llanelli and surrounding areas.
